Replay – Smash Bros. Brawl (Guest: Powerglove)
The Super Smash Bros. series is all about bringing together gamers who revel in beating the snot out of one another with their favorite Nintendo characters. Among the game's plethora of fans there is a group of four musicians who have engaged in many of their own Smash Bros. marathon sessions. Those four individuals make up Powerglove, a power metal band that specializes in casting Level 5 Metalaga all over the faces of metal and video game music enthusiasts alike. Their current tour recently brought them through the Twin Cities, and they were kind enough to visit the Game Informer office for a few rounds of Smash Bros. Brawl on this very special episode of Replay.
I am joined by 3/4 of Powerglove - bassist Nick Avila, guitarist Chris Marchiel, and drummer Bassil Silver (unfortunately guitarist Alex Berkson couldn't join us). Come along with us as we boot up this tasty Wii treat and chat about video games, the band, and leprosy.
