With Crash Bandicoot's various remasters and the Spyro Reignited Trilogy doing such big business for Activision, it was not going to be long until the company started making those IPs a cornerstone of their software lineup. It seems the publisher is planning to do just that, according to a recent statement to investors.

Activision president Rob Kostich told investors this week that they're not only exploring more remasters, but also new games in the IPs those remasters are coming from, which would presumably mean new, original games in the Spyro and Crash series.

"When you look at our IP library, we think there's a lot of IP in there the fans are going to want to experience again," Kostich said during Activision's earnings call. "I'd say stay tuned for some future announcements, but just beyond pure remasters, there are also a lot of opportunities now to innovate and think about totally new content within these IPs."

The publisher likely finds themselves in a tricky situation, as they've already remastered what are considered the best games in those series, but who knows what the future holds and how well they could improve further games.
