Rockstar Breaks Down Weapons And Combat System Details For Red Dead Redemption II In New Reveal

by Javy Gwaltney on Oct 12, 2018 at 10:39 AM

Another day, another Red Dead Redemption II breakdown. This time it's all about the way of the gun.

Rockstar released a new page of images, descriptions, and video clips relating to weapons in Red Dead Redemption II. The developer says there are over 50 weapons in the game. However, the biggest reveal is old favorites from Red Dead Redemption are returning: the Volcanic Pistol, the Cattleman Revolver, sawed-off shotgun, the Springfield Rifle, and the carbine repeater.

Rockstar also got a little bit more specific in terms of what you can upgrade when it comes to weapons:

With a myriad of customization options ranging from visual upgrades like new metals, woods, varnishes and engravings to performance upgrades like new barrels, grips, sights and scopes, you can design an entirely unique weapon that looks and handles exactly the way you want it to. Every weapon’s performance varies in terms of damage, range, fire rate, accuracy and reload speed so it’s important to pick wisely depending on the situation.
