Hammond is the 28th hero to take part in the battle and has been heavily anticipated. As one of the experiments at the Lunar colony, Hammond lived near Winston but escaped when the gorillas took over the colony. He then took his escape pod and modified it into the battle pod Wrecking Ball, which he used to survive the harsh outlands of Junkertown.

Hammond plays by rolling around and grappling onto various anchor points to swing around like, well, a wrecking ball. Blizzard will be taking a deep dive into the creation and minutiae of Wrecking Ball during San Diego Comic Con with a panel on July 20.

Wrecking Ball has been playable on the Playable Test Realm since announcement and will go live next Tuesday on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
