Learn About The Art And Design Of Sonic Mania Plus In New Dev Diary

Sega has released the first video in a series of Dev Diaries on the upcoming Sonic Mania Plus. The first one discusses the art and design of the original game, as well as some of the tweaks and choices made for Sonic Mania Plus.

The video features Sonic Team creative director Kazuyuki Hoshino and Sonic Mania art director Tom Fry chatting about the visual design of Sonic Mania. The duo discusses everything from the original design of Sonic Mania's Studiopolis Zone to the color palette changes in Sonic Mania Plus' Encore mode. They also talk about the inclusion of Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Flying Squirrel as new playable characters. You can watch the video above.
