The lights are on
Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma has teased something related to Majora's Mask in the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.
Aonuma made an appearance at the New York Comic Con to talk about the new Zelda coming to 3DS, and during a fan Q and A, he offered a strange tease related to Majora's Mask. When a fan asked about the possibility of a Majora's Mask remake Aonuma replied, through a translator, “If you play A Link Between Worlds, you may get an answer. You might find some information.”
This isn't the first time Aonuma has spoken ambiguously about Majora's Mask, nor is it the first time a connection between A Link Between Worlds and Majora's Mask has been apparent. In the above image, which appeared during the Zelda section of a recent Nintendo Direct, keen-eyed observers noticed that Ravio has the mask displayed in his shop. You can see it the bottom-right corner of the image.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is coming to 3DS on November 22. For the game's latest trailer, head here.

Our TakeMajora's Mask was Aonuma's first Zelda game where he was credited as a director, so it is an important part of his history with the series. I don't know if this is a hint at a remake or an HD re-release, or just a hint that there will be a story connection between the two games. Whatever it is, Majora's Mask is one of the Zelda universe's most intriguing, dark, and mysterious items. I would love an excuse to play the game again on my 3DS similarly to the Ocarina of Time remake, but I also wouldn't say no to a complete remake for Wii U. Remaking Wind Waker was apparently very successul, so I don't think Nintendo is turned off by the idea.

I hope it's this : www.youtube.com/watch
I'm not sure what's more intriguing: the possibility of a story connection, or the possibility of a remake. Either way, I'm excited.
We did it guys. We got Majora's Mask in 3D! On a serious note, I hope that's an Easter egg hinting at a remake.
Already pre-ordered A Link Between Worlds! Being primarily a portable gamer, I never really played Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Windwaker, Twilight Princess, etc. But I am VERY familiar with the Oracle games, Phantom Hourglass, Minish Cap, Spirit Tracks, etc. I was so psyched when Ocarina of Time came to the 3DS! My hopes are that Majora's Mask will get released on 3DS soon! The Majora's Mask manga is EXCELLENT! I am so psyched for A Link Between Worlds!
I'd still like a 3DS remake; but the more I think about a Wii U remake, the more excited I get.
I will buy it in whatever form it comes in.
Majora's Mask was one of the first games I bought when I was a kid and still got allowance for doing chores. My 8-year old self had no idea how to play it and found it too difficult so I gave it and a strategy guide I couldn't make heads or tails of to a neighbor of mine who was a huge Zelda fan for free. I really hope this means I get a chance to finally get to playing the game and finishing it myself instead of getting freaked out watching someone else almost get crushed by that freaky moon that gave me nightmares for a week. Also, if this is for WiiU, I'll get one, I've been meaning to get the Wind Waker bundle after all.
cross-generational, cross-console/handheld tie-ins? Count me in!
Do it Nintendo! I have been looking forward to seeing them revisit Termina.
Pleas be on Wii U, it needs more awesome games.
can only hope for either a sequel or a hd remake/remaster i was my #1 zelda game before SS and i'd like to play it again but it ...looks horrendous on my tv sadly , i wouldn't say the graphics are bad at all , i'm sure its my tv
I will totally shove them my money if they make Majora's Mask for the 3DS D:!!!!!!!!
Well I would prefer a new zelda game with a similar dark theme to Majora's mask, but I will be happy if they make a master quest (and not just an enemy difficulty upgrade), but a true master quest. A great game i have already played a bunch is not really worth spending $40-50 dollars for me.
