New Trailer Reveals Hyrule’s Antithesis, Lorule

The latest trailer for The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds reveals the world that exists between Hyrule's walls, and introduces the villain.

It's not entirely clear if she is just one of A Link Between Worlds' many villains, or if she is the villain, but whoever she is, she is up to no good. She seems to be trapping important political Hyrulian figures in paintings, and forcing Link to run into walls.

The trailer also reveals Lorule, the world that exists opposite of Hyrule. Its name may be a product of a pun on the word Hyrule, but it looks like an imposing world.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is coming to 3DS and 2DS November 22.

  • For some reason I'm not excited for this game. Maybe it has to do with the camera angle.
  • Still need to get my hands on a 3DS for this. Link to the Past is one of my all time favorite games, so something paying homage and is a throwback to that, is a win in my book
  • haha! Lorule! get it? Hyrule and Lorule? Hy and Lo? initial reaction, Lorule is a terrible name. At least when they made the parallel dimension of Termina, the name actually had some meaning behind it. I fail to see the meaning of this one. Bad name aside, I'm really excited for this. There seems to be a lot of interesting stuff going on with this game. And to be quite honest, nothing gets me more excited than a brand new Zelda game.
  • Been preordered for a month or so.

  • Hyrule in an alternate universe is Lorule? Kmsl now they're messing with alternate dimensions. When will we meet Knil the anti-link
  • So excited!
  • I was hoping to see the anti thesis link. A lazy slob?
  • I can't waaaaaaaaait!!!

  • Looking forward to this game. I've only ever played the 3D Zelda games, so I'm interested in playing a Zelda game from a top down view.
  • Given that Termina is parallel to Hyrule, speculation is that Lorule might somehow be related to Termina itself. Majora's Mask has been spotted in the game as well.

  • I don't this Hilda is a villain. I think she's just an alternate Zelda who decides that Link is just the hero she needs.
  • Hmm this trailer is the least appealing so far points out the bad parts to me.

I was pretty excited for this just because the first is one of my all time favs and I was gona buy a bundle do when it came out but now I'm not sure again because nintendo really does an excellent job of making me not want to support them until they get their *** together.

This game should still be good, but now i wonder should I wait till I can get it all maybe even used for 100 or so than to spend 250$ at launch for an xl bundle, at the same time I'm spending 6- 700 or so on xbox and games. It's just bad timing. I will get and play this eventually tho even if just for respect for 1, and if nintendo doesn't deliver with it, and instead just ruined the memory of the best game ever, I'll never forgive.
  • Good job Nintendo! Now, about that release date...

  • Seeing Lorule makes me want a sequel to Twilight Princess even more.
  • I'm so ready for this game, but I'm still holding out for a system bundle.

  • Lorule sounds kinda ghetto.

  • That pretty much confirms that I'm buying this game on day one.

  • Hylian, not Hyrulian :P
  • All i'm saying is that, while yes, its obvious why Lorule would have an upside down triforce, the upside triforce is also located on the doors of the townsfolk in Outset Island of WW.  Connection?!?!?!
