The lights are on
A new batch of screens for Jonathan Blow's The Witness shows off new area, The Marsh.
The Marsh is a research facility in the game, which explains the strangely colored algae. In a post on the official blog for The Witness, developer Orsolya Spanyol says the coloring was particularly challenging as, "there was a high risk of making it look like a clown exploded on it." You can check out the screens from the area in the gallery below, or on the-witness.net.
The last big news we heard about The Witness, the next game from the creator of Braid, was it will have virtual reality support thanks to SteamVR. For more on The Witness, head here.
The Witness should be coming to PlayStation 4 and PC this year with an iOS version to follow shortly.

Can't wait to get lost in this game. I don't expect to understand, or even beat it, entirely. I don't think I would have made it all the way through Braid even without a bit of internet help if I remember correctly. But blows particular brand of pretentious puzzling really hits home with me. Also, love love love the production design on this game. beautiful.
Love Jonathan Blow, listening Tj him speak is mesmerizing he's a brilliant man can't wait to get my hands on this game.
I just love the art style in this game. I want them to put this art style into a non-puzzle game. I like this game too, though :)
I keep thinking they're talking about that movie with Harrison Ford...
The Witness is going to be so awesome.
I can't wait to witness the gameplay of this game on my PS4!!!!!!!!
Looking more and more beautiful every time they release screenshots.
