Japanese Trailer Shows New Link Gameplay In Hyrule Warriors

A new Japanese trailer for Hyrule Warriors shows plenty of Link in action. Along with gameplay, the trailer also showcases some of the extra bonuses that will be included with the game in Japan.

We got a chance to play Hyrule Warriors at E3 recently. You can check out our hands-on impressions for the game here. I also spoke with the developers and asked where Hyrule Warriors takes place on the Zelda timeline, which you can read about that here. To check out the game's E3 trailer, head here.

Hyrule Warriors is coming to Wii U on September 26.

  • Yup, still looks like Dynasty Warriors
  • This game loos great, for me personally this is a title that would get me started on the Wii U. I'm so excited to experience Link in this type of game.

  • LINKS!!!

  • Never could get into the Dynasty games. The crossovers, though, seem a lot more fun than the DW games.
  • I can't wait to bomb some dodongos!!!!
  • I hope said bonuses come to North America too.
  • Nintendo Treehouse had a lot of coverage for this game. I'm pretty sure you can see it on Nintendo's Youtube channel.
  • I cannot wait to play as characters other than link! Now somebody translate those pre order bonuses at the end, lol.

  • I can't wait to play the non-Link characters in this game. I have to say, why does Dynasty Warriors catch so much flak when it comes out less frequent than CoD? Edit: My bad on the double comment.
  • I still don't quite know how I feel about this game. On the one hand, I commend Nintendo for stepping outside of their comfort zone and doing something different with their established franchises. Newer Zelda installments have emphasized puzzle solving over combat as well, so this should be a welcome change of pace as far as Link's outings go. But Dynasty Warriors games suffer from a severe lack of depth and replay value. I know they pride themselves in being button mashers, but repeating the same actions over and over doesn't equate to a great gaming experience. I remain cautiously and slightly optimistic for this title.
  • I hope they release a demo.

  • A.W.E.S.O.M.E. I have high hopes for this game.

  • *surfer guy voice* At first, I was all… "no way bro." But after E3, I was like… "dude!" I certainly can see myself playing this one.
  • Depending on when the game allows players access to the rest of the playable characters, I don't think I'll be playing as Link very often. He looks cool, of course, but I've been playing as Link in Zelda games since forever. As soon as I can play as Midna, that's what imma gonna do.
  • Yep, same boring and lackluster combat as DW.

  • I sure hope those bonuses make there way over here! That's definitely a special edition I would buy!

  • Looks Fun!

  • Looks like fun to me.

  • Man, everyone hate dynasty warriors!
