Jon Favreau Directs New Trailer, First Gameplay Reveal At E3

No one does live-action trailers like Bungie, and the latest for the upcoming Destiny meets the high bar of past work. The 60-second video was directed by Jon Favreau and stars Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad, Revolution).

Like all Bungie live-action shorts, it helps set the tone for the game.  The more interesting news though, is that we'll finally see substantial gameplay at Sony's E3 press conference on June 10.

Destiny is slated to arrive later this year for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.

  • This game is looking great. I'm probably getting it for Xbox 360, since new consoles tend to fail at first.

  • Gustavo Fring!

  • Very cool live action trailer. Not bad at all.

  • Space magic! I wanna be a Warlock.

  • I can't wait to get my hands on this game! But as an Xbox guy I don't like how this game has been tied so closely with the PS reveals.
  • I'm not excited for this. I'll have to see more first.

  • The center character reminds me too much of Fallout: New Vegas Desert Ranger gear...but still cool. can't wait to see some game play.

  • Bungie had nothing to do with Forward Unto Dawn.

If you were looking for a live action BUNGIE short, either the Halo 3, the ODST or the Reach shorts would've worked.

  • Cool trailer.
