First Bit Trip Saga Screens, Box Art, And Special Surprise

All six Bit Trip games will converge on one 3DS cart sometime this summer. Check out the first screens here... including one in 3D!

First the Bit Trip compilation seemed like an April Fool's gag, then it was officially announced, and now we have the first images of what it looks like down in the gallery. The previous box art was clearly placeholder, but now we've got a new one with much more pop. Be sure to click on it for a larger view.

And, if you're raring to see what the game's 3D effects will look like on your 3DS, download this 3D screenshot and follow the steps below.

  1. Remove the SD card from your 3DS.
  2. Plug the SD card into a card reader connected to your PC or Mac.
  3. Open up the file labeled "DCIM," then open the next one titled "100NIN03" or something close to that.
  4. Drag the file you downloaded named "BIT_0002.MPO" in with the rest of your photos.
  5. Eject the SD card from your computer.
  6. Put it in your 3DS.
  7. Open the Nintendo 3DS Camera and press the View Photos tab at the bottom.
  8. Find the Bit Trip screen in your library and LOOK AT IT IN 3D.

  • i want it so bad

  • i will try it later than.

  • Wow these look cool, kind of makes me want a 3DS now :(
  • meh. Bit Trip Runner was the only one I liked. The rest are far too minimalist. Not "artsy". Not "really stylized". Just minimalist. Like one guy did it himself in his room on weekends for a month (at most). But Runner is fantastic. Striking looking (so these guys CAN produce a full on game!), with a fantastic soundtrack by Anamanaguchi (the same guys who scored Scott Pilgrim VS the World: The Game), and great rythym based gameplay. Also platforming, in the Canabalt/Robot Unicorn Attack-style. It's fantastic, easy to get into and hard to master. I suppose the other games feature the same kind of gameplay. But it's hard to care when the music is much worse and you're only controlling a pixel. I think the series is massively overrated. But Bit.Trip Runner is genuinely fantastic.
  • This is going to be one of the first games I buy once I own a 3DS :P

  • I thought this said Bit Trip GaGa, and I contemplated suicide.
  • Did anybody else's picture they downloaded end up showing in reverse 3D? The left and right image are swapped. The stars are in the foreground in stead of the background.

  • Exactly the kind of thing I love to see:  A collection of great downloadable games put together in a great physical release.  Now, all we need is the Konami ReBirth games from Wii put into a 3DS collection.

GET TO IT KONAMI!!  And make one more new exclusive for the 3DS collection!  Rush 'n' Attack, Frogger, whatever!  Just do it!

  • So, I wonder if Beat and Flux are going to use the gyroscope to move the paddle or if it will just be the d pad.  Either way this is going to be a great collection.

  • Need Konami to do a GBA Castlevania compilation and I am sold
