The Next Plants Vs. Zombies Game Will Be Revealed At Microsoft's E3 Press Conference

by Mike Futter on Jun 08, 2015 at 03:48 AM

During EA's most recent earnings call, it committed to more Plants vs. Zombies in this fiscal year. CEO Andrew Wilson strongly implied that the game would be a follow-up to 2014's Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare.

A new video tease seems to reinforce that. The pun-heavy tagline displayed over the sounds of flora versus undead fauna combat certainly takes our mind toward a Garden Warfare follow-up.

Garden Warfare debuted on Xbox One and Xbox 360 before making its way to other platforms. All will be revealed at Microsoft's E3 press conference on Monday, June 15. You can read up on the full press conference schedule here.

Our Take
It's just a shame this doesn't top (or even match) the fantastic pun art created to tease the original Garden Warfare. I'm ready to give the adorable spin on online shooters another go, but I would be glad to see the in-game transactions that drove character unlocks left behind. Sadly, I don't suspect a Garden Warfare follow-up (if that's indeed what this is) will get off that money train.
