The lights are on
With E3 just around the corner and Plants vs. Zombies 2 just recently confirmed, we're excited to learn more about PopCap's return to tower defense and yard work. As the week wound down, three clever images appeared on the official Plants vs. Zombies Facebook page.
The trio of pun-heavy (and adorable) mashups of Plants vs Zombies with EA's core franchises has some interesting thoughts taking root in our minds. Sure, these could just be some fun art work put together by a graphic designer in his or her spare time.
They could also be hints. We know that Plants vs. Zombies 2 is subtitled "It's About Time," as disclosed in the reveal video. Could it be that time travel as envisioned by PopCap also involves relative dimensions in space? Perhaps the star is a potato that can either move through time or travel in space in his… TOTIS. Visiting themed areas in a new Plants vs. Zombies would certainly be fan service.
It is unlikely that these designs tie in with what else will be at the EA booth at E3, as we know that Medal of Honor is on hold and Dead Space developer Visceral Games is likely already started work on its Star Wars title.
What do you think, tease or creative exercise?
