Nintendo really just BLEW MY MIND with this Nintendo Direct. The future of the Wii U looks a lot brighter than it did a few hours ago. We have confirmation that all of our old favorites are on their way in one form or the other, and new games like SMT x Fire Emblem and Xeno HD. Add on to that the announcement of the Wii U VC, as well as a steady stream of updates to the Wii U itself and Miiverse, and Nintendo just hit it out of the park. The best part is, Retro is still working on something, they alluded to third party games getting a Nintendo Direct soon (Wii U's biggest hurdle at this point), and they still have the 3DS! Who knows what they still have in store for that! It's an exciting time for Nintendo right now. Now excuse me while I go watch the ND again.

Also, anyone else find it hilarious that when Wind Waker was first announced, people went crazy and were ready to riot against Nintendo. Now they announce an HD remake, and people are overjoyed? Funny how things change.

Wanting a wii u pretty bad right now

Screw studying for my midterms; I am so watching this instead!! I'm especially excited about the Fire Emblem x MegaTen crossover, as well as the Wind Waker remake.  Time to start saving up for a WiiU!!

What?! No Smash Bros 4 news?!

Only thing that perked my interest was the new monolith game. The rest is old hat. Needs more new IP's than old already played out ones. The new original stuff will come eventually, it's just interesting to see how long it takes

So I guess this fall I will be buying a Wii-U AND a PS4. It seems like the Wii-U is having a slow start just like the 3DS but by this fall it will be full steam ahead. I can't wait to see what new games and features Nintendo has for the Wii-U at E3. However, I think the Wii-U would be able to compete with the PS4 and New Xbox better if Nintendo dropped the price by $50 and made new SKUs. It should be: -Basic Wii-U with 32gb (white) for $250. -Deluxe Wii-U with 64gb (black) and copy of Mario Bros U for $300. Otherwise the Wii-U could be outshined this fall.

CHILLS. Holy crap. Monolith Soft. Chills down the spine. I just hope Nintendo of America doesn't give this new Xenoblade the BS runaround it gave the last game. If that comes out this year. Just. Holy friggin crap.

Seriously this just confirms what I was saying before - Nintendo Direct conferences are going to be how Nintendo really does things from now on.  Sure they will still be at E3 but that will hold less importance now.

Okay, after watching the ND, I honestly can't wait to get my own Wii U when I get my taxes back. The software announced thus far has me foaming at the mouth lol. Also, WW HD!!!!

... once again .... where's my damn Metroid?!! Although that xeno sequel might convince me to pick up the system.

Best Nintendo Direct yet after the Miiverse talk wraps up. That was so exciting! New Xenoblade game, Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem, and the Wind Waker HD stuff was awesome!

I can't wait to see how they improve Wind Waker. I'm hoping they fix the need to constantly adjust the wind and the hunt for the Triforce at the end of the game will not be so tedious (at least remove the huge price barrier). I'd love a new dungeon too but that seems unlikely. Also I assume the game will look better than those early screens, because they didn't look great yet.

Almost forgot, 30 cents for Super Metroid is awesome! I also hope we get Earthbound eventually over here (that was in the Japanese Nintendo Direct)
