We’ve had the opportunity to preview first-person spellweaving action title Lichdom: Battlemage a couple of times, and soon you may have your chance, too. The title, which is now in Early Access Alpha is heading into Early Access Beta next week.

As the title gets closer to its August 26 PC release, the price is steadily going up. Right now, you can get it for 40 percent off the $39.99 full price. Come July 21, that will increase to $29.99. On July 22, the game goes into paid beta.

The next update brings a host of new features, including New Game Plus, with new objectives, loot, and spells. New sigil powers have been added, that give players access to flame walls, arc lightning, and more.

Crafting has been improved, and the UI is now easier to navigate. Synthesis, too, has been rebalanced and a new reforge feature allows you to turn items into a chance for legendary loot. The overarching UI has also been overhauled for cleaner menus and heads-up display.

On the technical side, the game has received new performance optimization and support for SLI and crossfire. For more on Lichdom: Battlemage, which is due out on August 26, check out our E3 preview.
