New PopCap Label's First Game Rejected By Apple

PopCap only just announced its new experimental label, 4th & Battery Games, earlier this week, but it's already the center of some surprising controversy.

Joystiq reports that 4th & Battery's first planned release, Unpleasant Horse, has been rejected from appearing on iOS devices by Apple due to "mature content." In a since-deleted tweet on the official 4th & Battery Twitter account, the studio responded, "We thought horses dying in meat grinders was wholesome family entertainment."

4th & Battery says on Twitter that they're appealing to Apple to release the game with a higher rating, but both the new label and PopCap have yet to release an official statement
