Here's Something Awesome From Cataclysm: Entering The Maelstrom
A couple of weeks ago, I posted a short video that showed off the Maelstrom, a powerful whirlpool in the middle of the oceans of the World of Warcraft. This landmark of Azeroth will finally be shown in-game for the first time in Cataclysm, and now thanks to the ongoing beta test, we've got a video of where it shows up.
The folks over at WOW.com posted the video below late last week. This reveals that the Maelstrom is used in an incredibly cool fashion as the entrance to Deepholm, a zone that only opened in the beta last week. After the dramatic entrance, players are given a tour of the humongous zone before being unceremoniously thrown off their ride.
