Shuhei Yoshida: More HD Collections On The Horizon

by Meagan Marie on Jun 28, 2010 at 08:24 AM

Appeasing the legion of fans demanding more HD upgrades, President of SCE’s Worldwide Studios, Shuhei Yoshida, explained to IGN that more Blu-ray rereleases of PlayStation 2 tiles are on the horizon.

Commending Sony Santa Monica for their “brilliant idea” to upgrade God of War for the PlayStation 3, Yoshida commented that Sony took note of the positive feedback garnered by the release and began to examine what other properties fans would like to see revisited.

" We are looking to continue to do these HD conversions," Yoshida told IGN.

During E3 Sony announced a second Blu-ray collection staring Sly Cooper – comprised of all three Sly games that originally debuted on the PlayStation 2. Releasing this November, The Sly Cooper Collection will be upgraded graphically and feature move and trophy support.

Rumors of Team Ico Collection have also run rampant, and may have just been confirmed via an Amazon.com France listing.
