Marvel Adapting Halo: The Fall Of Reach Novel Into Comic

by Phil Kollar on Jun 24, 2010 at 08:25 AM

As the first novel based in the Halo universe, Eric Nylund's The Fall of Reach was also one of the first wildly successful attempts at building on a game's story by way of a book. Now just in time for the upcoming release of Halo: Reach, Marvel is adapting the story from Fall of Reach into a new comic book mini-series.

Titled "Boot Camp," Marvel's series will follow the adventures of Master Chief back when he was just starting out in the SPARTAN program and was known simply as John. The series will be written by Brian Reed with art by Felix Ruiz. The first issue will arrive in comic shops around the same time as Halo: Reach in September.

Check out the Halo Waypoint site for full details on the adaptation. Anyone excited to get one of Halo's most important origin stories in a format that doesn't require as much, you know, reading?
