Even though Bloodborne received a delay from February until March, that doesn’t mean there isn’t any news. Today, producer Masaaki Yamagiwa revealed a new weapon and hints that there may be more sinister secrets than any previous Souls-style game.

Underneath the city of Yharnam lies honeycombed tunnels and ruins. According to Yamagiwa’s post, these may not be easily mapped or predicted. “These ruins appear differently to each hunter brave enough to enter,” he writes.

This hints that there may be some procedurally generated elements of Bloodborne’s level design (though perhaps not something you’ll find everywhere). Thankfully, players will be well-armed for the journey.

Today, From Software revealed a new weapon called the transforming cane. It can be used as a short-range melee weapon, but also can turn into a heavy weapon or a bladed whip. We’ve seen hints of Bloodborne’s other transforming armaments in previous videos.
