Ryse: Son Of Rome Draws First Blood In Live-Action Miniseries

by Isaac Perry on Oct 30, 2013 at 12:17 PM

We’ve already heard about Ryse: Son of Rome’s story of revenge, but it looks like now we’ll get a more cinematic taste soon. The four-part live-action series The Fall begins November 5 on Machinima, leading up to the game’s release on Xbox One November 22.

Crytek and Microsoft Studios, the developer and publisher respectively, are premiering this bloody series. Like the Xbox One exclusive action game, The Fall is told through the eyes of Marius Titus. The game’s story follows Titus’s quest for revenge. The live-action series might show us what sets him down this bloody path. If you want to see some actual gameplay, you can check out the E3 trailer

Our Take
I have always enjoyed watching well-crafted trailers for games (whether or not the games are good), and I can’t help but get interested in The Fall. A live-action miniseries does little to tell us about the game – outside the story. That said, the game’s story could be decent enough to show off. Ryse: Son of Rome will be set in the final days of Rome, which sounds awesome.
