The lights are on
As you may recall from BlizzCon last year, World of Warcraft is getting updates for all of the character races. The latest in line for a makeover is the Human Male, who looks to be evolving from his caveman roots.
The models presented by World of Warcraft art director Chris Robinson are in-progress, but you might start noticing them if you’re in the Warlords of Draenor alpha. As you can see, the models are changed enough that they look more proportional and less boxy.
The final models will be revealed in a future post (once they are complete). Blizzard will be sharing more along the way as it updates character art throughout the game to give World of Warcraft a fresh look. For more on the upcoming expansion, check out our impressions.

That's less neanderthal-esque? I'm pretty sure half the cast of "The Quest for Fire" looked like this guy.
Wow.. the new model is great looking. I'd actually play one now..maybe.
I have to give them credit for finally doing this. Those character models needed an update for awhile.
That was why I didn't go human when I played so long ago.
Nice, can't wait until all the character races have updates.
I don't want him, you can have him, he's too swag for me.
No way! My nipples do the same thing his do.
I don't see how they look less caveman-like. It's just more hi-res caveman.
The new character models are a bit too late. I'm pretty much done with WoW.
The model looks less boxy, sure. But more proportional? I half expect the human to start dragging his knuckles and pledging allegiance to Conan the Barbarian.
