The lights are on
One picture may be worth a thousand words, but even that isn’t enough to convey the breadth of ZeniMax’s new MMO.
Yesterday you got a glimpse of Game Informer’s June cover story, Elder Scrolls Online. Today, we give you an exclusive first look at what the game will look like in action.
What’s going on here? In this image, you can see a couple player characters battling some Storm Atronachs. Storm Atronach are a species of daedra (divine creatures that come from magical dimensions) that are constructed from stone and held together by magic. The most powerful of all the atronachs, Storm Atronach are immune to normal weapons and shock attacks, are resistant to poisons, and can reflect spells back at their caster.
Is that all?Behind the battle is a series of daedric ruins. These great towers were built long ago by an ancient race of people, but they’re not the only landmarks players will discover throughout their journey. As players travel through Skyrim, Morrowind, Cyrodiil, and the rest of Tamriel they will encounter various dwarven ruins, ancient nordic tombs, decayed dwemer buildings, and many other ancient locales, some of which players may have discovered in previous Elder Scrolls games.
I still want more!We know you do, but that’s all for today. If you missed it, Elder Scrolls Online’s first teaser trailer released earlier today, and check back next week for more exclusive Elder Scrolls content.

does not look good Bethesda pleas STOP!
I hate MMO's. Pass.
If it's pay to play... count me out. Looks awesome, I'd love to play it. However, if it's a pay to play, no thanks.
Systems > Graphics
DAOC > Rift
People need to stop judging this game based on a few pictures, it might not have fps hack and slash or some other thing, but it does have three factions and all the continents of TES plus the lead director is Matt Firor so you know PvP is going to be awesome; I cannot wait for this game!
You all are stupid. This is going to be a MMO of course its not going to be like Skyrim, Oblivion or Morrowind. I mean it will be more like WoW or something like that don't dis it till you play it.
they shouldnt have used the swtor hero engine...bethesda is better than that. i would rather them have used whatever ffxiv ran on. that game blows hardcore, but it looks great and thats what elder scrolls is, 50% graphics, 40% story/questlines, 10% gameplay. they are getting away from that and making it toony. im 60/40 on not getting it, though im a big bethesda fan. i also heard rumors of a fallout mmo, if this was the fallout mmo graphics, id let that slide, but ES, no way
Do we really need another single player RPG turned into a MMO? First was Final Fantasy, Then KotOR and now Elder Scrolls. When will it end? Next there will a Kingdom Hearts MMO instead of a true KH3. I truly am sick and tired of everything game company thinking every game needs a Multi player experience. I like the Elder scrolls but i will not be playing an MMO.
All I want is to play Skyrim online, is that so hard to figure out?
this is going to be awsome!!!!
Imagine all of the Elder Scrolls games in one. I'm drooling.
AWWWWWWWW YEA ima be ARGORIAN
Hope it's better then WoW , wow is slowly moving into a more casual style game and any one who plays will know what I'm talking about. just hoping this game gives people the deep feeling wow used too, I trust zenimax will create an engaging enjoyable experience that it has brought with the elder scrolls series.
So goes another excellent franchise.
i am so excited, beta beta beta beta please! cant wait for the public dungeons thats one of the best parts really since eqoa i havent seen a rpg with the greatness that this is going to be.....leave it to them to bring back the originality of a real rpg
