Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS
Nintendo has revealed how its new Amiibo figurines function in Super Smash Bros., but you'll have to sit through an embarrassing prepubescent love story to learn about them.
The video follows a young boy named Jack on his journey to buy and train his own Mario Amiibo in a misguided attempt to win the heart of Gina, one of his older brother's friends. Amidst the hammy dialogue and Jack's angsty fantasies, Nintendo actually shows some of the functionality of its NFC figurines, including how you load, train, and level them up. But will they win Jack the affections of Gina? You'll have to watch the video to find out. Bonus points if you can get through it without wincing.
Super Smash Bros. will be available for the Wii U on November 21. Amiibo figurines will debut on the same day, for $12.99 each (check out a list of available figurines here).
