The lights are on
Sonic has had a rocky past with some less-than-awesome titles making appearances in the last few years. Could the newly announced Sonic Lost World turn the franchise around? Take a look at the new gameplay revealed in this trailer and judge for yourself.
Sega announced that Sonic Lost World will be coming to Nintendo Wii U and 3DS later this year along with a trailer and screenshots, available below.
Sonic is pitted against six new villains recruited by the nefarious Dr. Eggman. However, the plot thickens when The Deadly Six revolt against Eggman, forcing him and Sonic into an unlikely partnership to stop them. The Color Powers from Sonic Colors make a return, along with new parkour abilities like wall-running. Both the 3DS and Wii U versions feature competitive multiplayer, though details haven't been revealed yet. Wii U owners can use the Gamepad's touchscreen and tilt functions to use Sonic's Color Powers. 3DS players can look forward to 3D visuals and exclusive stages for the handheld.
Are you considering giving Sonic Lost World a try? Or are you burned out on the franchise? Chime in and tell us why or why not in the comments.
Like most recent Sonic games, this looks like good fun in the trailer. I'll wait for a review to see if it's actually any good, but my hopes are quite low.
This...This actually looks like a lot of fun!
Looks pretty good so far.
Looks cool to me. Reminds me of Generations which was really good I thought.
Sonic Lost World looks amazing! I have a good feeling that this will be a great game and that it will use the Wii U GamePad in some unique ways. I can't wait to try this game out at my local Best Buy during E3!
Maybe...or maybe not.
out of all the things to do sega - why would you release an exclusive on nintendo when the ps3 and 360 are still outselling them?
sonic died with my childhood
Using Benny Benassi's Cinema was a nice choice. It looks good. I'll have to see more, though.
