The lights are on
Sonic has had a rocky past with some less-than-awesome titles making appearances in the last few years. Could the newly announced Sonic Lost World turn the franchise around? Take a look at the new gameplay revealed in this trailer and judge for yourself.
Sega announced that Sonic Lost World will be coming to Nintendo Wii U and 3DS later this year along with a trailer and screenshots, available below.
Sonic is pitted against six new villains recruited by the nefarious Dr. Eggman. However, the plot thickens when The Deadly Six revolt against Eggman, forcing him and Sonic into an unlikely partnership to stop them. The Color Powers from Sonic Colors make a return, along with new parkour abilities like wall-running. Both the 3DS and Wii U versions feature competitive multiplayer, though details haven't been revealed yet. Wii U owners can use the Gamepad's touchscreen and tilt functions to use Sonic's Color Powers. 3DS players can look forward to 3D visuals and exclusive stages for the handheld.
Are you considering giving Sonic Lost World a try? Or are you burned out on the franchise? Chime in and tell us why or why not in the comments.
It's still a Sega game, so I'll refrain my final judgment until it comes out, but the footage sure looked stellar. I loved how they're mashing up the formula with a ton of Super Mario Galaxy in it. If I don't get too dizzy from all those mind-bending courses, I know what I'm playing on Wii U this holiday season.
This looks great. I wonder how the new gameplay is going to work
i don't know davey...
It looks pretty good. Seems a bit slower that Generations or Colors, but the greater focus on platforming may make it really cool none the less. I'll wait to see more on it, but I'm hopeful.
Why haven't we had a Sonic game with Parkour before? The addition makes a lot of sense when you think about it; and it's obvious with games like Assassins Creed that it's easy enough to implement stuff like that in a Video Game.
Looks promising enough for me, if not the same Sonic we've been seeing for 20+ years. Here's to mixing things up a bit this time around maybe...
Super Sonic Galaxy. But I'm not complaining.
No iam actually really looking foward to this..It looks...good to me.
I'm not going to even bother keeping track of this. We're all hoping for a change/mix u, but I know it's not gonna happen. Another Sonic game with the same gameplay, same world setting, and six really kooky looking bad guys. I already know the ending.
