Characters Both Old And New Face Off In These Next-Gen Screens

Samurai Warriors is celebrating a decade of slicing and dicing this year, and these new Samurai Warriors 4 screens showcase what looks to be the prettiest entry in the series yet.  Composing a 55-character roster, this gallery showcases familiar faces like Shingen Takeda and new ones like Hisahide Matsunaga.

Samurai Warriors 4 takes place during the unification of Japan through the Warring States era, and includes new abilities such as switching between two characters on the fly. In addition, Koei Tecmo launched the official website for the game, which looks like it will continue to be updated as the game's release approaches.

Samurai Warriors 4 releases for PS4, PS3, and Vita on October 21. For more, check out previously released trailers.

  • Looks beautiful graphics-wise! I'll always love Warriors games...that said, what's with the Skrillex-looking guy?

  • MAN... This looks GOOD. I gotta get it.
  • I'm not too familiar with this series, but seeing as this is from the same people who make Dynasty Warriors, should I expect the game to be extremely repetitive, cheesy, uninspired, lacking any sort of genuine innovation (remember that time when you could finally climb ladders :O...) and just overall mediocre in quality? Because well, I...I actually don't mind that...for some reason. *hangs head in shame*
  • Words cannot express how badly I want to play this. So I made one up.

I'm franshtoobly exited for this game.

  • Year of the Musou. DW8XLCE, DW Gundam Reborn, Hyrule Warriors, Samurai Warriors 4, Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate, DW8 Empires. I love it as a huge Musou fan.
  • I have got to get an external hard drive for my PS3 before this and Warriors Orochi Ultimate come out. I have long since run out of space, and I'm beyond tired of deciding which game/s is up on the chopping block every time I want to try a new title. Out of curiosity, does anybody know of any good brands or types I should invest in? I'd like at least a terabyte of space, given how many games I have.
