The lights are on
Until now, we didn’t know much about Samurai Warriors 4, other than it was coming sometime later this year. Today, Techmo Koei America has announced the newest iteration in the melee combat series will arrive October 21 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and Vita, featuring cooperative play and cross-save functionality across all three platforms.
Additions to the game include a playable Nobuyuki Sanada, brother to series mainstay Yukimara Sanada, new combat mechanics and a new game type called Chronicle Mode. Check out the new opening cinematic.
And to commemorate 10 years since the release of the original Samurai Warriors, Tecmo Koei has also released an anime trailer called Samurai Warriors: The Legend of the Sanada.
Samurai Warriors 4 will be available exclusively via digital delivery on PS3 and Vita for $49.99 and $39.99, respectively, and the PS4 version will be available digitally and via retail for $59.99. Check out the PS4 screens in the image gallery below.
