Fans of the original Prototype -- I'm assured by the comments section that they do exist -- have been wondering why developer Radical Entertainment decided to remove Alex Mercer as the protagonist of the upcoming sequel and make him the villain. Who better to explain than the developers themselves?
In this video, the developers lay out why they felt turning Mercer into the enemy makes for a compelling story in Prototype 2. Check it out, let us know if you buy their reasoning, and then take a look at the last Prototype 2 trailer from last month.
