The lights are on
A number of new details (and a new trailer) have been unveiled for the upcoming Pokémon X and Y, including mountable non-water Pokémon, four new Pokémon, the game's region map, a new city, and the box art.
You can see the four newly unveiled Pokémon below, and see them in action with new attacks in the trailer below. Meet Helioptile, Gogoat, Fletchling, and Pancham.
Here are the details of the newest Pokémon, straight from Nintendo.
The game's region map has also been unveiled. We already new the name of the region, Kalos, and now you can see what it looks like.
Pokémon X and Y are releasing globally in October, a first for the series. Usually, Japan gets a head-start on collecting new Pokémon, but not this time around. For more on X and Y, you can check out the original announcement trailer, an interview with Pokémon Company International's director of consumer marketing about the games, and an interview with Pokémon's Takao Unno and Junichi Masuda where we got answers to all of our most burning Pokémon questions, like "What happens inside a Pokéball?"
Be sure to check out the photo gallery for more images, and the game's official box art.

Pancham looks cool wish I really had a ds now smh
New Pokemon? I'll take six.
I want this! It comes out right around my birthday!!!!!
I am only moderately ashamed to admit that I will likely pick up a 3DS for this title alone.
I'm liking the new pokedex. The took it to the next level with that one. At least that's what appears to be a pokedex
This is the first time I've been excited for a Pokemon game since Ruby. I'm so glad they're getting rid of that basic sky-view sprite game and finally taking advantage of the 3DS's capabilities.
I must have that lizard. I love it's type combination.
So I was like 7 when Red and Blue came out and I was suckered into Pokemon (as everyone who was 5-15 was at the time)
I have never played a Pokemon game with the same enthusiasm as that first one- except maaaybe Gold/Silver. My main gripes have always been:
1) The graphics are *** awful
2) The new Pokemon look really dumb
Well for once, it appears they may actually fix BOTH of these problems. I'm beyond excited.
And as others have been saying, these new Pokemon look... good. That panda is going to turn into a rad as hell fighting Panda. I will train it and I will defeat many a trainer with it.
OH MY GOD
