Natural Doctrine Shows Off Its Unforgiving Difficulty In New Trailer

Along with showing off Natural Doctrine's gameplay in more detail, the latest trailer promises the game won't be easy.

The trailer shows a whole montage of player deaths and a literal collage of players coming up short in the staying alive department. It also shows off how complicated the game will be with its myriad statistics and interconnected lines, which is an awesome thing, or an intimidating thing depending on what type of gamer you are.

  • Critics are going to thrash this game.
  • This looks like it'll be scored a 7.25 or 7.5 here. Good, but not great. A nice tactical RPG to play when nothing else is available. Akin to Dragon's Dogma (which I really enjoyed) in terms of quality. I definitely see the Fire Emblem influences. This is the Titan Quest to Fire Emblem's Diablo.
  • Hmm... looks interesting. Might be worth a go, I guess I'll keep an eye on it.

  • As much as I love turn based strategy, unless this game gets rave reviews I won't find time for it in my packed gaming schedule until next summer.

  • Those environments look...a little boring.

  • It doesn't look BAD... it just looks.... ehhhhh... I'll give it a shot.

  • Visually... it looks like an N64 game.

Gameplay looks like a DS game.

  • I didn't know Nintendo had rented out their "Ocarina of Time" landscape to a new PS4 game.

  • NIS does make some great tactical RPGs. I'll give it a shot. Not great graphics, but a good story and gameplay can overcome that.
