Lego Lord of the Rings

The Fellowship Is Block Together

If you like being surprised, you should probably move onto another story. If, on the other hand, you can't get enough Lord of the Rings and/or Lego games, you've come to the right place. Warner has announced Lego Lord of the Rings, which pretty much speaks for itself at this point.

The debut trailer below shows off a few scenes from the first film, The Fellowship of the Ring, including the appearance of a cave troll, and the encounter with the Balrog (and his disgusting breath). Like the upcoming Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, this one appears to be fully voiced. We'll have to wait and see if Warner got permission to either use dialogue directly from the films or managed to wrangle together some of the original cast for some new recordings. There's also no official word on what platforms it'll be coming out on, but if past installments are any indication, it'll drop on just about every available system on the planet.

What do you think? Are you ready to go on another adventure with that hunky Aragorn fellow?

The Fellowship that BLOCKS together, ROCKS together!
  • This might be the first ever Lego game I buy.

  • YYYYYYYEEEEEEEESSSSS!!!!! I've been waiting for this game so long.

  • why lotr its been done for quite awhile now
  • Ever since they announced LOTR lego sets I knew this was coming.

  • Not a fan still need to read those books

  • Wow. The lego characters are actually talking
  • Oh my gosh this is what I've been waiting for since Lego starwars

  • Looks nice!

  • YES! I've been waiting for something official on the video game! The actual LEGOs have already been released for a few weeks now, so it's about time something came up on the video game.
  • I hope the developers/publishers secured the rights to full voice overs. So much of The Lord of the Rings fantasy is steeped in how the characters converse with each other, something that would be lost with simple miming motions.

  • OMG we just lost our taterz precious

  • OMG I like LOTR and I like Lego, so together it makes EPICNESS!!!

    Will get asap

  • these games are boring
  • I don't mind the game being fully voiced, but just using dialogue from the films seems to take away the creativity of presenting the story in a uniquely Lego way.
  • Awesome but at the same time disapointing. Cool that it's LotR and Lego, disapointing that it has voice actors at all. It just takes away from a Lego game if you give the characters a voice.
