Link’s Power Gloves Came In Like A Wrecking Ball

Link, all you do is wre-e-eck me in this new video for Hyrule Warriors. The Hero of Time is wielding the Power Gloves (first appearance: Link to the Past), which give him the power to lift heavy objects, toss pillars of stone, and wield a wrecking ball-like morning star.

We’ve never seen Link hit so hard (in love), and we have no doubt that all he wants to do is break your walls. You can check out the video below.

Hyrule Warriors is racking up quite the cast, as you can see in our running lineup featuring the fighters. The title will be out on September 26 for Wii U here in North America. For more, check out our preview from E3.

  • I wish we would've gotten a Collector's Edition. Either way, I'm really psyched to play this.
  • My friends have been urging me to get a Wii U for months for Kart and Smash. I decided to get one for the Bayo collection and this, and then they recoil in terror like I have no taste.
  • "Link’s Power Gloves Came In Like A Wrecking Ball". I hate you guys so freakin' much. Now I got that stupid Miley Cyrus song in my head. RRRGH!

  • Yes! I can't wait for this game to come out. I finally bought a Wii U yesterday, so I'm ready!

  • I knew Futter wrote this article just from the headline.

  • This game is so over the top and I love it. Hopefully it has local multiplayer!!
  • I still have no idea what to think about this game. I don't know much about dynasty warriors but from what I've heard they are not very good. But this game does look like a lot of fun with the huge Zelda mash up that they have going. Guess I'll just have to wait and see how it plays out.
  • Looks like they're actually half Power Bracelet and half Dig Gloves.
  • Can Zelda swing from it too?
  • It's so bad.

    Also dat ball.

  • Heard Darunia, Princess Ruto, and Shiek are playable which is nice. Also heard a Gold Skulltula collection system will be in the game. Anyway, why not the golden power gloves istead of the silver ones? Ah well. And since The Imprisoned is in this I wonder if Demise will be playable at some point? Maybe a "true ending" will be an option (or requirement) to unlock him.
  • You have the Cyrus virus I see. I shall cleanse thee.

  • Nice! This game keeps getting better and better! Now all we need is for the collector's edition to come to Japan, and we'll be set!

  • Did he.....did he just.........flip the entire world over just to cause damage? My God!!!
  • Wow, I'm surprised no one's made a power glove joke yet.
  • The more gameplay I see of this game the more I can't wait to get it.

  • Wrecked.

  • Another shop successfully wrecked!

  • I hope this game lives up to the hype cause it's playing a dangerous game of dangling a carrot. Luckily its success or failure has no bearing on me.
  • I wonder why Miley rode a wrecking ball in the first place? I came to only one conclusion, she likes the power between her legs!, too bad it wasn't my ball!, then again, she might have metal splinters there, I'm out!
