Have It Your Way In Hitman: Absolution's Bloody Sandbox

Agent 47 has earned a reputation for being an efficient and merciless assassin. If you're not familiar with his games, you may not know that he's also a great improviser. A new trailer for Hitman: Absolution shows Agent 47 in action, doing his best to remain undetected and also attacking his targets head on. You'll see how he takes advantage of his environments and whatever else is handy in both situations.

The clip below shows how Agent 47 operates in the field. Some of the highlights include using a noisy toy to lure a thug toward his explosive demise, chucking a syringe at an unsuspecting enemy, and using the ever-present red barrel to blast a foe into oblivion. Some of the footage is from an earlier gameplay demo, but there's enough new content in the video to make it worth your time.

Keep an eye out for Hitman: Absolution on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC later this year.

  • Uh the player isn't there

  • nevermind

  • Im starting to think this is a day one purchase for me. Oh how ive missed agent 47
  • awesome freaking trailer, looking really good so far.

  • I have mixed feelings on this game. On the one hand, its getting a lot of great press and it actually looks fun, on the other hand it looks less open and lacks Jesper Kyd and David Bateson, which takes away a lot of the "Hitman" feel.
  • I cant believe its been around 7 years since the last Hitman game. Never retire, Agent 47.
  • I have yet to finish a Hitman game. I made it about half way through 2, Contracts and Blood Money, but never brought myself to see them through before trading in the good old PS2. Hope there's an HD Collection of them, but if not then I'll just skip ahead.

  • Looks a lot like Splinter Cell Conviction with a lot more ways to move about. I loved SCC so I'm anticipating this to be amazing. I also like how he was able to switch into a policeman's uniform when he wanted to and it wasn't a forced moment like it appeared to be in the gameplay that was shown earlier.
  • The game looks very good, and I'm certainly interested in playing it soon. The last scene before it flashes the closing line, where Agent 47 melees, the dude, looked a little rough though.
  • Blood Money was soooooo good, even if the mechanics were a bit archaic. I just hope all the polish this title seems to be getting doesn't change the basic setup: huge levels, tons of ways to play. I can get my "cinematic adventure" elsewhere. I really do just want my favorite "figure out how to kill this guy without anyone ever knowing you were there" simulator.
  • Killing people in multiple ways... Got me in already. Take that! That! And that! AHHHHHHHHHHH (farts)

  • never played hitman wonder if its any good
  • This seems like the kind of stealth game I would like.

  • Looking good every now and then cant wait...

  • I've never played a Hitman title but this game is looking pretty cool

  • Cant wait to play this!!! I just wish they would give a release date for this game.

  • It's been too long. But I still need to see more videos before making a day one buy. I don't want this to fail, but I want to be sure.

  • Aw yeah time to get my Hitman on

  • Aw yeah time to get my Hitman on
