Game Informer’s July cover story is Vigil Games' Darksiders II, the post-apocalyptic ode to titles like God of War and Legend of Zelda. If you can’t wait to get copies of the issue in your hand then you’re in luck, because you can catch an exclusive first look at the game right here.

The trailer recaps events that happened in the first Darksiders and sets up the story for Darksiders II. You’ll also get to see the horseman Death in action and get a brief glimpse of his new mount, Despair.

I cannot wait to get my hands on this. Darksiders was one of the most fun and awesome games I've played on my PS3 so far.

This game looks so awesome. The art style is fantastic and Death seems like a worthy character to follow up War's story. Although I really would like the story to continue rather than span the same time period as the first game. Still, I can't wait for this game.

Bleh... I have no intention of going back to play the original Darksiders... I enjoyed the core action of the game, but all the "Zelda" elements that everyone seems to love gushing about (backtracking, puzzles that greatly detract from the ambiance) had me throwing in the towel after about 6 hours

I'm excited about this, but I still haven't gotten around to playing the first. Seeing as I just finished L.A. Noire, I might have to hop into this. I wonder if the series will end up being 4 games, one for each horseman.

I liked the story behind the first one and the game play was a solid 8. However the entire game I felt gimped, as a rider of the apocalypse I felt War should have been stronger. Kinda like Bioshock 2, didn't really fell like a Big Daddy till the end.
