The lights are on
We've shown you what to expect with Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag's open-world gameplay, but now new screens reveal multiplayer possibilities.
Concept art for multiplayer maps and character designs have been unveiled for the upcoming title.
Featured are the Puppeteer, the Dandy, the Rebel, and Lady Black.
For a closer look at multiplayer in the next Assassin's Creed title, be sure to read previews editor Matt Miller's experience at E3 2013.
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is coming to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U on October 29. PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One versions are expected at a later date.
As a competitive pro-level player of AC3 multiplayer on Xbox (Manhunt, Clan: WLP), I'm greatly excited for AC4. Sadly, there are several things that anger me about AC4 MP and they have the potential to hurt competitive play. (i.e. They really, REALLY should've removed Animus Shield as it wrecks the game).
Nevertheless, I'm excited, but Assassins Creed multiplayer is so mis-understood. Few people understand the idea of quality over quantity and when going into random lobbies, if I'm alone, I can never rely upon players not to run out of nowhere and steal my 450 point kill for their 150, all the while giving 100 points to the other team for an honorable death.
Also, is it just me or do the new characters look like clowns :/
To me Assassin's Creed is the most boring multiplayer.
Hope ubisoft get this msg. Pls include a first person view mode. It was missing in AC3, and no boring missions
this might be the first AC game i partake in the multiplayer longer than 5 rounds... only time shall tell.
Take away the perks and abilities and then the multiplayer will be fun. As it is right now, everyone just runs around spamming abilities.
Nice! It's to bad that there won't be any Ship combat for multiplayer.
