The Witcher 3 Mod Lets You Play A Remade Version Of The First Game's Prologue
Although it's not looking likely that we'll get a remake of the original Witcher game any time soon, you can get a taste for what that might look like via a new mod.
Youtube user Erxv1 (who was involved with another cool Witcher mod) has uploaded a video showcasing his latest mod, which recreates the original game's prologue sequence inside The Witcher 3. Though many of the characters in the trailer are straight from the newer game, we do get to see a few new character models. Several comparison scenes also show cutscenes in the original Witcher followed by the remade versions show how closely Erxv1 worked to recreate many of the scenes. Right now it's just this one prologue chapter, but this gives me hope that either Erxv will someday accomplish the gargantuan task of recreating the entire game with The Witcher 3's gorgeous looks or that CD Projekt Red will see enough interest and remake it themselves. You know never know.
