Watch Geralt Recite His Version Of Blade Runner's 'Tears In The Rain' Monologue

by Suriel Vazquez on Nov 19, 2016 at 08:33 AM

This year we bid goodbye to Geralt. He's not dead, but The Witcher 3's second expansion, Blood and Wine, could be the last time we see him for a while.

Though it was likely not created as such, Witcher 3 modder rmemr has crafted another tearful goodbye for everyone's favorite Witcher. As a showcase for a new set of mod tools for the game, rmemr modified the game to have Geralt recite his own rendition of Rutger Hauer's "Tears in the Rain" monologue from the movie Blade Runner. Geralt reminisces about all the things he's seen over the years, then has a brief conversation with Ciri. You can watch the video below.

Rmemr then asked Erxv1, another member of the Witcher 3 mod community (and the one responsible for another popular Witcher 3 mod which added random encounters to the game), to upload it to Erxv1's Youtube channel. If you're interested in seeing how the mod tools used to make these sorts of videos work, rmemr also created a showcase of the tools, which you can watch here.

Correction (11/24/16): This story previously said Erxv1, not rmemr, created the videos linked in this article. This was not the case. Game Informer regrets the error.
