Welcome The Summer 2016 Game Informer Interns

by Ben Reeves on May 23, 2016 at 09:22 AM

Every few months, we’re fortunate to have the opportunity to share a little of the work we do at Game Informer with a new group of aspiring writers and journalists through our internship program. As we steer into the summer months, another team of awesome writers will be helping us cover all the important video game news and culture over the next three months. Come meet the new GI interns.

Our summer 2015 interns come to us from all across the country, but they share a common love of video games and writing about those games. The next three months affords them an opportunity to share that excitement about the field with the rest of the Game Informer community. You’ll see news, features, previews, and more from them popping up onto the Game Informer website in the coming weeks, and they'll be helping out with all the craziness that comes in the weeks before, during, and after E3.

Expect to see plenty of stories from Blake Hester, AJ Moser, and Haley MacLean (click their names and get to know them better by reading their introductory blog posts). This term is also the first time we'll have a video-production intern on the team, so please welcome Leo Vader. Expect to see some great Test Chambers, Replays, and other video content from Leo down the line. We're excited to have these fine folks on board, so please extend a warm welcome!

Are you considering a career in video games writing? If you’re looking to further your existing writing or journalism education through an internship at Game Informer, we’re currently accepting applications for the upcoming fall term. For more information, email me at the address below, or click here to learn more. More of a video person than a writer? We're also accepting applications for upcoming video interns, and you can email Ben Hanson for more information.
