Nintendo Toyed With Bunny Protagonists For Splatoon

A new episode of Did You Know Gaming looks at the development history of Splatoon, showcasing some design directions Nintendo ultimately decided not to follow.

Alongside the idea of making Mario the star of the game, or plain old squids without transformation abilities, bunny characters were also briefly considered. You can check out the video below which also addresses how Super Mario Sunshine had absolutely nothing to do with the game.
