Rumor: All Future Battlefield 4 Content Will Be Free

by Ben Reeves on May 09, 2015 at 05:48 AM

Battlefield 4 is almost two years old at this point, but it seems that developer DICE is continuing to support fans by releasing new maps and other content. If the rumor is true, all all future Battlefield 4 content will be free of charge for all players.

Battlefield 4 isn't the most recent Battlefield game, but according to BF4Central it is still getting some new content and both Premium and non-Premium players will gain access to all of Battlefield 4's upcoming DLC, which includes a Spring patch that introduces a new Gunmaster game mode and five new weapons such as the AN-94 and Groza-1 assault rifles. Future updates will give players access to night versions of several maps including Siege of Shanghai, Zavod 311, and Golmud Railway.

BF4Central wasn't clear with it's sourcing, so we've reached out to EA for an official comment.

Our Take
Battlefield had its fair share of problems, but when it worked it was fun, so it's nice to see a developer supporting a game so long after development.
