The PlayStation 4 & Vita Get A Release Date In China

by Matthew Kato on Mar 10, 2015 at 04:57 AM

Sony Japan has announced an official release date of March 20 for the launch of the PlayStation 4 and Vita in China.

The PS4 will cost 2,899 yuan ($463) and the Vita 1,299 yuan ($207), and debut alongside versions of Knack and Rayman Legends, among other games.

Rival Microsoft already released the Xbox One in China on September 29.

The original launch of the PlayStation 4 was delayed back in January due to "prolonged negotiations" in the country.

Our Take
With PC and mobile gaming having taken root in the country, along with free-to-play titles, it'll be interesting to see what kind of appetite there is for home consoles in China and if any Western publishers gear their software on the platforms towards gamers there.
