A collection of eight screenshots from Telltale's upcoming Game of Thrones has appeared online, but Telltale has not confirmed their legitimacy.

The screens were shared by the twitter account @lifelower, which describes itself, "XBLA Watchdog! Exploring for upcoming XBLA & putting them on the release calendar."

The images show familiar Game of Thrones characters in Telltale's art style. You can see more images in the gallery below.

Depending on the legitimacy of these images, Telltale has not yet officially shared any character images like this from the game, but it did reveal a few details about the game earlier this month. The game will follow House Forrester, a family that has not yet appeared in the HBO show, and will take place near the end of the third season. For more, head here and here.

The first of the game's planned six chapters will be out before the end of 2014. We've reached out to Telltale games for more details and confirmation on these screens.

Our Take
Despite releasing this year, Telltale has been very guarded about revealing images like this from its upcoming Game of Thrones game. It's entirely possible these were fabricated, but if that's the case, then it is a very good fabrication. This looks about how I expected the game to look, so I would be surprised to learn they are not real.
