This Flappy Bird Thing Is Getting Out Of Hand

When I think of arcade games, I remember slapping my quarter on a machine to call next in Street Fighter. I also have fond memories of claiming Donatello on the four-player Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade game and delighting that no one else wanted Nightcrawler in the huge X-Men cabinet.

Now, Flappy Bird is getting its due. Executive editor Andrew Reiner is currently traveling and found himself at the Wisconsin Dells and the Kalahari theme park. There, he discovered a larger than life version of the mobile title.

He also found himself face to face with Sonic & Friends basketball, a giant version of Tetris, something called a Minecraft-o-Matic (that appears to be a game of chance to win Minecraft-themed prizes), and a large table game called Pac-Man Smash. We’re not entirely sure if we’ve lost Reiner for good to this electronic wonderland. 

Come home, Reiner. We miss you. What does giant Flappy Bird have that we don’t?
