Call Of Duty Ghosts Nemesis DLC Makes Contact On Xbox Next Week

by Wayne Stainrook on Jul 31, 2014 at 09:30 AM

After a year's worth of downloadable expansions, Activision is bringing the fourth and final chapter of DLC for the latest title in its massively popularity military shooter franchise early next week. The Nemesis DLC, which includes four new maps and the conclusion to the Extinction narrative, releases on Xbox One and Xbox 360 August 5.

Nemesis delivers three new maps, including a returning favorite, each with their own respective field orders: Goldrush, in which players can hop into mine carts swirling around an abandoned mine and unlock a pack of wolves to devour their enemies; Subzero, a three-lane style submarine base where your killstreaks award you with a frigid blizzard to kill your opponents; Dynasty, a tranquil Chinese village in which you can call in multiple fighter jets at once; And Showtime, a remix of the original Modern Warfare's Shipment. Showtime's killstreaks encourage close-quarters fighting with automated turrets and poison gas attacks that corral all players into the center of the map.

Exodus, the final episode of Extinction, tasks you with finishing off the Cryptid alien army and escorting researchers to a space station near Earth. You'll face off against the Ancestors, a group of enemies with psychic abilities.

Nemesis will be available for $14.99 individually and comes included with the Ghosts' season pass, and will come to other platforms at a later date. For more, read our review of the core game and check out our coverage of the previous DLC packs, Onslaught, Devastation, and Invasion.
