The lights are on
If you’re in Japan and have 20,000 yen (about $200) to shell out for sneakers, you could get these awesome Super-Mario themed Converse shoes later this summer. Never before has the “All Stars” brand seemed so appropriate.
This isn’t the first time Converse has launched a series of Mario themed sneakers in Japan, as they also had a black-and-white line in 2012. It’s unlikely that these shoes will come West, but they will be available in Japan in late August of this year.
Be careful, though: wearing these shoes will not give you the jumping abilities of Mario, nor Bowser’s fire breathing abilities, and Converse is not responsible for any injury or loss of life (lives?) sustained during any Princess rescue missions attempted while wearing their product.
