Smooth McGroove Takes Us Back To Pokémon’s Pallet Town In Latest Arrangement
Lyrical gangster Smooth McGroove has published his latest a cappella arrangement, this time with calm stylings from the Pokémon game that started it all. Before setting off into the world (and encountering that scoundrel Gary over and over), players explored their home of Pallet Town.
This track was featured in Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow (the special version that included a Pikachu starter that followed you around). If you like what you hear, there’s always more McGroove where that came from.
He recently covered Ryu’s theme from Street Fighter 2, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, and Secret of Mana (among many others available on his YouTube channel). You can also read our interview from last year with the multi-toned musician.
