Smooth McGroove’s Wind Waker A Cappella Is A Great Way To Close Out The Day

by Mike Futter on Apr 28, 2014 at 03:30 PM

A cappella master Smooth McGroove’s latest YouTube video features the sweet sounds of The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. This entry in Nintendo’s series was polarizing because of its cel shaded look, but it’s hard to dispute how wonderful Kōji Kondō’s soundtrack is.

This music from early on in Link’s seafaring adventure embodies adventure, mystery, and a little bit of danger, all of which is captured in the a cappella version. For more from Smooth McGroove, you can listen to his covers of tracks from Secret of Mana, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Final Fantasy VII, Street Fighter, and Mega Man 2.

You can also check out an interview we conducted with him in September 2013.
