Shovel Knight 'Essentially Complete,' Releasing Soon

by Kyle Hilliard on Apr 02, 2014 at 03:49 PM

Yacht Club Games still doesn't have a release date for Shovel Knight, its Kickstarted old-school platformer, but it says development is very nearly complete.

The game was delayed recently to the nebulous date of a few weeks after March 31 – its original release date. According to the game's latest update on its Kickstarter page, Yacht Clubs can see the finish line calling the game "essentially complete." One of the reasons the game was delayed was to ensure a simultaneous multiplatform release, which it says won't be a problem to pull off.

Our Take
I would have liked to see a release date, but it is reassuring to know Yacht Club Games is taking its time to guranatee a quality release for its game.
