PlayStation Plus Welcomes Titles For Last-Gen And New-Gen This Week

by Mike Futter on Feb 03, 2014 at 05:02 AM

This week’s Instant Game Collection will see two new additions when the PlayStation Store updates on Tuesday. Joining the party are a brand new horror title and one of last year’s standout shooters.

PlayStation 4 owners will have access to the fright-filled Outlast (our review). Red Barrels has found success on PC, and is bringing the terror of exploring Mount Massive Asylum to console.

PlayStation 3 Plus members will be getting Metro: Last Light (our review). 4A Games’ sequel to Metro 2033 returns players to the post-nuclear Russian underground.

Today is your last chance to pick up Don’t Starve on PlayStation 4 and DMC: Devil May Cry on PlayStation 3 before they rotate off the service. This week also marks your last chance to nab Shadow of the Colossus HD for PlayStation 3. For the rest of what to expect this month, check out our previous coverage.

Our Take
This is a strong start to the month, and Sony is knocking it out of the park giving PS4 users new games in the Instant Game Collection. I’m looking forward to trying Outlast, but given my aversion to nightmares, I’m not sure how far I’ll get.
